This is a great little Tizirine cluster featuring several double terminated quartz crystals with a strong beta habit, grouped together in a beautifully compact composition.
The goethite is especially aesthetic, occurring in chunky black masses with areas of deep red that also tint sections of the quartz. That iron influence gives the specimen a lovely colour, with flashes of red running through otherwise pale quartz.
At only 30mm across, it has a lot of personality. The clustered double terminations, chunky goethite and neat self supporting composition make it a very satisfying miniature.
