This is a wonderfully complex Moroccan mixed mineral specimen, with multiple distinct mineral phases packed across the matrix. Yellow fluorite forms one of the dominant features, including crystals that react under UV, accompanied by snow white botryoidal chalcedony and bright, glassy baryte.

The real jewel is the intensely orange wulfenite, although it's not where the eye is first drawn. The crystals show a strongly pyramidal tetragonal habit, nestled amongst the paler minerals and bringing an extraordinary shot of colour through the specimen. It's an unusual habit for wulfenite and one of the reasons we're questioning the original locality attribution.

The chalcedony forms soft white botryoidal growth around sections of the specimen, while transparent to colourless baryte adds sharper crystallisation through the matrix. Against the vivid yellow fluorite and fiery orange wulfenite, there is an incredible amount of mineralogical variety in a relatively compact piece.

The supplier attributed this specimen to Touroug El Hamda, although the presence and habit of the wulfenite warrants caution. Until the locality can be confirmed more securely, we're retaining the original attribution while noting that the association may be more consistent with material from the Mibladen district.
