This is a lovely old stock M'Sissia cluster made up of interlocking quartz crystals, with strong secondary copper mineralisation running through the specimen and a good presence of malachite.
The copper minerals are far more obvious here than on some of the other pieces from this group, appearing in vivid green patches across the quartz and sitting beautifully amongst the deep rust and brown iron patina. There is plenty of colour, but the piece still feels very mineral rich and textural rather than overly bright.
Most of the M'Sissia quartz we have encountered has been in the form of single crystals or twins, so this more substantial cluster is especially appealing. It's a nice size with real presence, and multiple crystals interlocking through the centre with plenty of detail visible from different angles.
It's a very satisfying variation on this already scarce material, with the larger clustered form giving it a completely different character from the more familiar singles.
