Here's a really lovely little mixed mineral specimen from Sidi Said. Bright yellow cubic fluorite sits prominently through the centre of the piece, surrounded by quartz and a dense covering of dark goethite.
There's a fair bit happening through the matrix for such a small specimen, with distinct mineralised layers visible from the side and plenty of texture across the surface. The fluorite acts as the main focal point, with its warm golden colour carrying beautifully against the darker goethite and paler quartz.
At just 40mm across, this is a vibrant little miniature with a strong mix of colour, form and mineral association. A great value example of the more complex mineralisation from Sidi Said.
