This is a sensational 'old stock' ferruginous quartz specimen from Tizirine, Morocco, which features a chunky format that separates it from other well known ferruginous localities in Morocco like Tinejdad. It features a large dominant crystal with a vivid red phantom that sits beneath a cap of clear quartz. 

The lower section of the cluster opens into a warmer honey to colourless pallette, accented by goethite inclusions. The overall composition is strong and relatively compact for such a large crystal. Superb!
