This is a beautifully saturated quartz from an older find in Tinejdad, with rich orange colour concentrated through the crystals by iron inclusions and staining. There are also darker rust red inclusions can be seen suspended within the quartz.
The specimen has a sculptural composition, with a dominant crystal rising above a group of smaller intergrown points around the base. In natural daylight the quartz has a warm, almost glowing transparency, with the iron giving different crystals slightly different depths of orange and red.
This is a small specimen at 27.4g, but its aesthetic, composition and saturation are simply world class.
