This is a generously sized feature specimen features a single green fluorite as the focal point, which rises prominently from an dense pyrite matrix.
The fluorite has a soft, light green colour in natural daylight, with good translucency and areas of clearer transparency around the upper termination and other modified faces. Its form is somewhat irregular and naturally textured, with subtle stepped growth and small etched sections adding detail across the surface.
The pyrite is spectacular and done little justice in photos. The entire matrix is completely covered in well defined, sparkling crystals, ranging from tiny tightly packed growth through to larger, well defined cubes and modified forms. In several areas the pyrite forms thick raised clusters, giving the specimen a very three dimensional composition and making the metallic association feel every bit as important as the fluorite.
