The surface is highly reflective, with deep horizontal growth features that catch the light across successive layers and give the crystal a particularly architectural appearance. Despite the depth of smoky colour, the crystal retains excellent internal clarity, especially through the upper body, where light passes cleanly through the quartz and reveals subtle internal structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base is naturally associated with pale feldspar embedded directly into the lower quartz, providing a strong contrast against the darker smoky crystal and adding mineralogical interest to the specimen.
