The calcite develops in overlapping planes and sharply defined geometric forms, creating a complex structure. Against the relative clarity of the calcite, the darker hematite and matrix provide a strong contrast and give the piece considerably more depth.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere's something particularly satisfying about the dual nature of this specimen.
